It's not everyday I stumble upon people who enjoy adventuring as much as myself. But the folks over at Naturebacks might be up there. And the shirts, they are pretty sweet. The thing that caught my eye about these guys is the adventure they send with your shirt. Every shirt you purchase comes with a location near you for you to venture to. Pure genius, how could you not love it!? The hardest part is deciding which shirt you want, since there is so many great options. It's overwhelming for us adventure enthusiasts. Buy a shirt; get an adventure, everyone wins!
One of the adventures they sent my way was, Blood Mountain. Blood Mountain is the highest peak on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail and the sixth-tallest mountain in Georgia, with an elevation of 4,458 feet. This past weekend I took on my adventure from Nature Backs. The overlook was breath taking looking into the horizon I saw the Blue Ridge Mountains and rolling hills for miles. The trail took about an hour and half, its pretty much an incline the whole time up, but definitely worth the trek. There are two main points to access Blood Mountains Trail. Vogel state park a rough 5 miles until Blood Mountains lookout. Or Byron Herbert Reece Memorial Trailhead a bit over two miles until the lookout. I have done both, my preference is Bryon Herbert Reece Memorial Trailhead.
